Took our time eating, Jacob is one slow kid. Aye yi yi, he takes forever to eat and walk. LOL! We went up and got all our belongings, met SuzieQ and Wendebird on the way out, they had been down getting breakfast to bring back up to the room. We said our goodbyes. Wendebird had a much longer drive than us, so they were just gonna hit the road. We got to Mickey and Friends and I asked Jacob what did he want to do? Buzz or Monsters, Inc? He chose Monster’s, Inc. so we went in rode it and headed for World of Disney store. Jacob had some money to buy trinkets for some aunts and uncles who watch him after school each day, plus his mom and brother. So we shopped. He fell in love with the whole Pirates display so everyone got Pirate key chains. I had told him Nina would buy him one more toy. So he circled and circled, finally telling me Nina if I want to get brother another gift, I won’t take anything. Awwwwww, he’s a good kid and loves his big brother very much, so I let him get the Pirate mug for his brother and still get his toy. They have these skulls for $18.00 that you can fill with all kinds of trinkets. You can stuff it till you can’t get anything else inside of it – up to 20 items. Well Jacob only wanted the compass that was in the trinket barrel. The CM explained about the skull and filling it but Jacob insisted on just the compass. After I explained again, he picked up the skull put the compass inside and said ok Nina, I done. I started laughing, I knew he’d be hard to convince, so I headed for the cash register. It took three CM’s to get him to fill the skull. When they brought the skull up, the one CM said “he’s got about thirty items in that skull.†“We packed it in good, he’s the first boy we’ve had who DIDN’T want to fill it to the ream. LOL! They were so cool with him. Ok, funny story and I hope I don’t get admin’ed but all during our trip Jacob kept talking about wanting a new Woody doll. He innocently would tell of his wanting it in a way that would have my mom, SuzieQ and I rolling with laughter; Jacob: Nina, can I tell you a secret? Lisa: Sure Papa. Jacob: When I dream all I can think about is me having a Woody? Lisa: Well, Papa that’s gonna happen a lot in the coming years. Jacob: Tia Sister, you know what I really want? My mom: What’s that Jacob? Jacob: A big Woody. My mom: No worries kid, it’ll come. LOL – he’s gonna be mighty embarrassed when he’s older and we play this back. This went on and on all weekend. So while Jacob was stuffing his skull, I found the soft Buzz and Woody dolls. I asked the CM to stick them in the bag. When we got to the car, I surprised him - Jacob finally had his Woody. We weren’t on the road but a half and hour and he was asleep with Woody in one arm and Buzz in the other. We had a great trip. Family, friends and Disneyland, can’t ask for much more than that! I take my role as a godmom seriously hoping to be a good mentor to him. I also love to play, I had no clue when I became his godmom that he’d fall in love with Disneyland as much as his Nina, but he has. So I treasure our times in the parks together. He is so much fun to bring because he gets it. It’s not just about rides for him. He loves the buildings, the lights, the music, the whole atmosphere. He gets the magic. So, I plan on bringing him and spoiling him until he says enough is enough. He promised me on the ride home that he’d bring me and push me around in a wheelchair when I’m old and can’t walk the parks anymore. I’m holding him to that! ;>

Especially when the kids aren't yours!
