Had this been pre the Town, pre Argo I might be more concerned but I think he'll do okay

The last Batman actor, Christian Bale, wasn't that good either, so maybe Ben Afflect will be fine.

I guess not many will agree with me, but the last Batman trilogy is overrater. Only The Dark Knight was really good and that was because of Heath Ledger's performance. Batman Begins was good, but nothing special and The Dark Knight Rises was a disappointment for me.

I haven't seen Man of Steel yet, but Ben Afflec as Batman is definitely not a reason to watch the sequel.

I've not seen Man of Steel so I don't know if he will fit but I thought they might have skewed older and more left field for this one.

That movie was weak. I had the DVD and someone borrowed it from me. I never asked for it to be returned.

While the Judas Contract was a great comic book arc (it's the story of Terra and how she betrays the Titans to Deathstroke) I am certain that DC would have botched it.

Plus, isn't he roughly the same age as Christian Bale? If they're planning to use him in a set of sequels in coming years, I would have thought they would look for a younger actor. And if he's getting tied in to the Man of Steel-type films, why not go with a relative unknown? Henry Cavill wasn't well known before this summer

And count me in among the group that wasn't overjoyed with The Dark Knight series. I thought The Dark Knight was fine, but hardly worth the hype it was getting; I didn't see the other two. In general, I tend to not like super hero movies, so I guess it just wasn't meant to be. Still, I'd like a little more variety in the box office at some point; it seems like it's just turning into a super hero pissing match a lot of the time

Dazed and Condused? Although his part wasn't really played for laughs. I thought he pretty funny in Shakespeare in Love. The Kevin Smith movies? I guess his track record for funny isn't great. But it's not totally empty.

I did see a funny comment that they should cast Matt Damon as Robin. Too perfect!

........outstanding as O'Bannon in Dazed & Confused and Chuckie in Good Will Hunting.

What about Smoking Aces? He was excellent in that one too... even when he was dead.

He is a great actor when he is not the star of the movie.
