Only The Dark Knight was really good and that was because of Heath Ledger's performance. Batman Begins was good, but nothing special and The Dark Knight Rises was a disappointment for me. I haven't seen Man of Steel yet, but Ben Afflec as Batman is definitely not a reason to watch the sequel.

Still, I'd like a little more variety in the box office at some point; it seems like it's just turning into a super hero pissing match a lot of the time

Although his part wasn't really played for laughs. I thought he pretty funny in Shakespeare in Love. The Kevin Smith movies? I guess his track record for funny isn't great. But it's not totally empty.
