However, I'm not going to pay any of the rates quoted to me today. I'll stay down the street first, which is sad, because I really wanted to stay on property if possible. Rates quoted 08/24/06: Paradise pier (Std.) $215.oo (Theme Park) $225.00 Disneyland Hotel (pool view) $275.00 Grand California (std) $320.00 I just can't believe the Halloween festivities are bringing in this many people, especially since tickets are still available. So, does anyone know of any other major happenings on these dates? Thanks!

And if people keep filling the hotels at high prices, there's no hope for reasonable prices for AP's. I sure hope it slows down after Christmas.

Its just we usually only make it to Disneyland once a year (twice if we are REALLY lucky) so I really enjoy staying on property!

I wonder if this has anything to do with DL's October schedule still not being published. Perhaps they are waiting to see how booked the good neighbor hotels get. It was pretty busy when we went last year mid- October as well. I chalked it up to the 50th, but maybe October is no longer the off season!
