However, a few years ago, PI used to have a smaller Mardi Gras celebration that included a small parade with authentic costumes and stuff brought from New Orleans... But nothing huge. Here in California we have cold, dark rain showers and flashflood warnings supposedly up and down the coast.. for the next week or so. If you got used to the 80 degree temps this last week you'd be trying to stay warm in the low 40s down here too.. back on topic... Pleasure Island hasn't had its Mardi Gras for many years, Rho.. they were having New Years Eve every night but they're giving that up as well. Mardi Gras is nothing like it is in Louisiana.. despite the weather, I think you're closer where you are right now. =)

Anyhoo, the Krewe of Ceasar from Metairie used to do a VERY small parade in PI twice a night for about a week prior to Mardi Gras. Since the 9/11, Ceasar hasn't done a parade in PI. I'll be down in WDW next week for our annual "Escape from Mardi Gras" trip with the family!
