Prices are so low and availability so high that expedia has "stay 4 nights get 4th night free"! For example DH 12/11-12/15 only $154 per night, and PP $120 night. The week after TK doesn't seem to be too booked up and DH & PP are still open at least Sun-Thurs (DH $205 and PP $160.)I am sure the crowds won't be as bad as when we are going over Thanksgiving week but the hours will be shorter. Just try to book soon because at Park Place Inn today, the reservationist said she's never been so booked up as this year and blames it all on the 50th celebration. Whenever you go, you will have a great time! I was shocked today when I called Blue Bayou to see if we could get reservations for Thanksgiving Day and they said, "Sure, no problem!" I have always tried to plan the 60 days out so was positive we wouldn't get it. Now to wait and try for Fantasmic Balcony Seats!

I also noticed slightly lower prices for that week for our Hotel compared to later on in the season (mid to late Dec) AND so far the DL calendar still has that week scheduled for off-season hours, so we shall see if all that indicates expected smaller crowds

I am pretty sure that we will cancel the later reservations for November, however, I am not going to do it until my hubby is in the car ready to go in case he gets called in for an emergency at work. Once we cancel the later reservations in November, I may still try and talk hubby into going back in December to see Santa's Round-up and the snow. I will definitely have better luck if I can get the rate down to $89 a night. I'll have to keep checking those AP rates.
