I figured July will be a zoo, and August would be miserable hot (kids back in school around 8/15).

Thanks for your input. Also, anyone know when Pirates is scheduled to reopen? This is Grandma's favorite ride.

DL isn't as crowded as WDW ever ever.

I have been to DL on Memorial Day, July 4, Thanksgiving, and the first week of June.

All of these visits I found the parks in CA to be far less crowded than the most off season at WDW ever.

I could be wrong as I have only been 5 times tho, but I would certainly go in June to DL but not to WDW, unless it could be my loved one's last trip. At that point I would go no matter when.

Your MIL is in my thoughts! :0) My mother just had a breast opperation also so we are thinking of going in June rather than April also. My DM is recovering very slow this time around so we want to give her some time to get up and going again before we hit the road to DL.

We went last year in June (the 13-17). It was a little crowded. For us it was a little harder because our youngest daughter was only 9 months old. The crowds made it a little more hectic trying to keep her happy. But as far as lines and rides, We rode everything we wanted to ride and a couple of times at that each day. Take advantage of the fastpass. If you don't have any babies to tend to I think you'll be just fine. It wasn't unbearable for us.
    Have fun!!!!

I ended up changing my Disney dates to Sunday the 25th thru Thursday the 29th. I'm taking my 18 year old cousin for her first Disney trip, and did not want to deal with the premiere, grad night and the re-opening of pirates.

We are also doing San Diego for 4 days, so I simply switched and am going to do San Diego the first 4 days and Disney the last 4.

    Woo,hoo! I'm getting excited!

I have been to the one in WDW, but I have heard the the one in Disneyland is twice as long!

Has anyone heard what the date will be for the premiere? I am assuming that it will be 1 week before the general release of the movie.

This is all guess work at this point, however, as no dates have been officially released.

BTW, say hi to Orlando for me!
