It was a hurried Sunday morning trying to get ourselves and the girls, both 13, ready and out the door. Usually Cap'n and I go alone but we decided to invite the girls. It made for a long morning and we hit the road later than usual. This made it impossible to attend the LP mini meet at Mimi's which I helped organize. Sorry Shiva and crowd. We had issues to contend with. We arrived at the hotel around 4ish..which wasn't too bad, considering how much we waited for the teens. We had a late lunch on the road and were not ready to meet with the group at Mimi's which I love very much. Now the fun begins! Cap'n and I went to the store to get a few groceries leaving the "responsible" girls in the room....MISTAKE! They were supposed to be getting ready to swim, and wait for us to get back. We were gone about 45 minutes....well, do you know what can happen in 45 minutes??? Between the "elevator races" and the locking each other out on the balcony, they were very busy.... we got back to a very guilty looking Kayla sitting on the floor, while Bre was coming in from the balcony.... I can only imagine what was going on. I am sure I don't want to know. We decided at that point that the girls would not be left alone. We accompanied them to the pool and hot tub and we later enjoyed a late dinner. I feel reallly bad about not meeting LPers at Mimi's. We went back to the room started unpacking and settling in. Before I knew it, both girls left the room, one in her pajamas, and went to the lobby to horse around. I called Kayla and told her to come back to the room immediately. They came back and sat in the bathroom sulking for quite some time. At least we had control of the TV! Then we all settled down for a good nites sleep. Monday morning, our first day at the park, we let the girls know how disappointed we were in their childish behavior. We decided to let them be on their own with a few restrictions. There was a complete turn around in behavior and from that moment on, not a single problem. I think it was the Disney magic at work. Then the fun really began. Cap'n and I met up with Shiva and Tinkeroon...what a delightful, charming and friendly couple. I couldn't have had a nicer time. I feel like I have known them all my life. Shiva also arranged meet and greets with other LPers. We met the Elderp's and little AJ....cute kid!, Lady Starlight, and cmpaley and his good friend, who's name escapes me. That was all within the 3 days at the park. Monday, we did all our favorite attractions and met up with Shiva and Tinkeroon and did more stuff with them. We met the girls twice during the day and made sure they were OK.....and they had a great day. On Tuesday, because of a few missed calls and near misses, I met up with Shiva and Tinkeroon outside of Soarin'. Cap'n Rick and the girls went on the ride, as I am highly sensitive to that kind of motion.... They got back to me with "Dream Passes". They were very excited. But I didn't get one, nor did Shiva and Tinkeroon. We continued our trek through Calif. Adventure and got in line for TSMM...about 3 minutes left to finally get our turn, the ride broke down. We decided to wait, and it was about a half hour later when we got to ride. Upon leaving that ride, we wondered toward the Maliboomer, and because of Shiva's sharp eyes, we were dreamed again, this time with the lanyards. I won't go into details, as the word "stalked" sounds a bit harsh. We then went back to Dland, to City Hall and explained our situation about the "dream passes" and Shiva, Tinkeroon and myself were all given one. We have a lovely afternoon, letting the girls do their own thing. Cap'n Rick, myself, Shiva and Tinkeroon went to fastpass Splash Mtn.... and guess what,,,,,we broke that ride! Just about to go up the big hill, before the big drop, we were evacuated....Got some pictures of an ugly site...ewwww...it looks so different with lights on and we walked down passage ways that were so undisneylike. Wednesday, like the other days, we let the girls go, and we did our own thing. We met up with Shiva and Tinkeroon and Lady Starlight for the Billies show, which I adore. And they had all the right Billies! My personal faves..... I feel like my Disney trip was complete after I saw the Billies. Everything else was just a bonus. I will always remember this trip, since I met LPers that were all new to me. It was very nice meeting everyone. But Shiva and Tinkeroon, you made this trip very special, and I thank you for that! As we continue making new memories, we must remember to rejoice in each new day. Take care all! Sincerely, Pollyana

Well except for breaking the rides but then again you got to see things that not everyone does

I know we will. We had a good time doing the parks together. Even breaking down the rides! HaHa That was interesting! Things we don't normally get to see...behind the scenes. It does look different. And of course, Shiva took lots of pictures!! Even though he was asked not to by a CM...he just wasn't as obvious. But even breaking down was kind of an adventure. I had fun. Fortunately none of us fell in the water as our log was not too close to the edge and required a fair step out. Glad to know you had a good trip too and hope your Hawaiian vacation is fabulous! You'll have to let us know all about that too!
