Those are a hoot and include Disneyland and other amusement places, too. There are all sorts of great links... Make me pine for the past... *Sweet Sigh*

I came by a couple of decent pictures of it not too long ago, but I didn't save the bookmark (I had to swap computers). I was Googling Googie. I never thought I'd grow up to say "I was Googling Googie" and have it actually mean something.

Sambo's... Yep... Our one and only in Las Vegas went away in about 1980, I want to say. It was close to my family's home, so we used to go there for breakfast on the weekends regularly. I remember the pictures on the wall of Sambo and his tiger. It's pretty amazing that the restaurants lasted as long as they did - considering the early disappearance of the original Funny Face drink names, the Frito Bandito and Speedy Gonzalez.

The one I remember going to was in Carmel, CA. I loved the art work on the walls and the dollar sized pancakes My favorite picture in the Disneyland section is the one with the boy who has a big wad of gauze and tape on his knee. Boys! Thanks for the link wonderingalice, fun stuff
