The MiraCosta entrance is set back away from the Aquasphere, so the waiting throngs don't have to see the lucky few entering early. Not so at TDL, so I'd imagine there would be quite a lot of resentment from some who might have been waiting for hours only to see a few privileged souls stroll on past them!

In Disneyland, early entry folks staying at the hotels are guided to the left side of Main Street, where you are allowed through right next to Coke Corner. Everyone else has to wait at the end of Main Street. They all see you going in. It's certainly possible the Japanese will not react the same way.

Considering the madness that is the "open dash", I would think that seeing others sneak in ahead would add fuel to the fire and make things even worse (remember the heart attack story I wrote about?). But yeah, it is similar to "fastpass resentment" lol. On a somewhat bigger scale though, I think, considering many of those up front wait every day from the pre-dawn hours!

There's really no sense of privilege associated with FastPass as there would be with Early Entry.
