It's hard for me to say how long a ride is worth waiting, it depends on so many factors. I'd be willing to wait any amount of time for a Disney ride the first time as I want to go on all Disney rides. But if I were going to WDW tomorrow with some people who hadn't been on it, I'd have no qualms about waiting up to an hour for it and no problem recommending to them they wait that long. I don't think they'd be disappointed.

I would say Everest and Soarin' are worth as long or even a longer wait, but no other recent ride or ride redo at WDW I can think of is worth that wait.

    Doobie.

We all (9 of us) really loved the ride though. My aim was much better at TSMM than at the Buzz shoot em up.

We waited for over 2 hours in stand-by and I just loved it. My rule is to never wait more than an hour but I had no choice if I was going to experience this at all. I mean, Gay Days has so much going on that the parks are low on the list - expect Sat.

    Agreed.

The next day we went on Buzz Lightyear and I felt it was very lame now that I experienced TSM.

I was wondering if the Buzz show building had some very light fog effects if the ride experience would be better. I mean, what frustrated me on Buzz after expereincing TSM was that I couldn't see where my laser shots were going. I think the fog in the show building would catch the light of the laser beams to add a little more "feeling" of control.

Anyway ... LOVED LOVED LOVED it ... I can't understand why people are saying there should be AA's inside the show building. That wouldn't make sense. It's not the point of the ride.

I haven't read one negative review ... and most are glowing (and from folks I respect) that you wouldn't necessarily expect from a D-Ticket type experience.

I still think I'll wait until Florida's miserable summer is over, or get to DCA first, to experience it.

I don't know if I can handle it. I cannot Soar Over Calif. and I cannot do Star Tours. On the other hand, I can easily handle Tower of Terror. Buzz Lightyear is one of my favorites. I always try to increase my score. If Mania is remotely like Buzz, I guess I will be OK......

Also, if you have trouble seeing clearly through 3D glasses that might be a factor for you.
