I always notice the castmembers having fun on the job during the Halloween and Xmas party events also. It makes everything more fun to feel the Happiness. Also the energy level at WDW Celebration reminded me of the exceptional cast during the cruises!

DlandDug, you should walk up and down Main Street doing the "This Is Not A Parade!" speech each day to a couple thousand tourists. To them, it's the parade. It may be a parade that stops for a while, but it's still the parade. And it's at 3:30 and 6:30. My favorite is working the Hub when it stops on Main Street and starts its first show. After about five minutes people start flagging down the Guest Control CM's and asking them what broke down and when they are going to get the floats moving again. It doesn't help that we've gotten into the high school marching band season again, preceding the show times. That type of traditional procession past them on the parade route only cements in the guests minds that they are waiting for the 3:30 parade.

The dancers danced their booties off though. I was impressed by the energy level and talent. Kudos to them!

Even if the band takes their time and marches slowly, I don't think it would take 20 minutes to complete the route. Yet it takes about an hour for the parade to finish its thing. I can imagine that the folks on Main Street (for the afternoon show, or by iasw for the evening show) would have to wait at least 30-40 minutes between the band and the time that the real show gets to them. While that might not be the end of the world, I'm sure it would leave more than a few guests a little confused (though I did notice that they had the times of the different stops listed in the Times Guide, which should alleviate some of the confusion).

As noted above, there is ample information in the Times Guide to let people know that this is not a parade, and when it will make one of its three stops. This is not the first time that guests pay no attention to the information they have been given, nor will it be the last.

We were right next to the LAST float of the bunch and couldn't even see what was going on up front. Yes the characters switch places a lot so you get a chance to see all of them but I was craning my neck the whole time. I'm glad I checked it out but I don't think we'll try to catch it again.

Parade it when it is moving, street party it when it is stopped. Lion King Celebration was PERFECT in this regard, and everything since has been embarrassingly bad. No Town Square stop? Other gaps? Are the people who run these shows insane or stupid or both? Lame, lame, LAME!
