For me it’s easy, get rid of the “New Management†in the Tiki Room. The Tiki Room was my personal all time favorite Disney attraction. It has been destroyed by those who thought it a good idea to add an insulting Iago, insulting script, and show tunes that are not in any way on theme. I found the Under New Management show to be not just insulting but outright offensive. I only saw it once and that was far more than enough.

That does not mean that there couldn’t be some changes to the show, including new music, but it should be on theme, not music that is off theme even if it’s the best music ever written, it doesn’t belong there if it’s off theme. With a show like that I think it could be easy to program a cycle of different shows to keep it fresh, just keep each show on theme and DON’T insult the original show.

Actually I think this could also be a very good place for some live character interaction with the audience as well. I think it would be really cool to have newlyweds, birthdays, and anniversaries, etc. acknowledged by the bird hosts with some interaction.

So what is the first ONE thing (no big lists!) that you would like to see improved in the MK?

The Magic Shop was such a treat as a kid so if I had to pick just one that would be it.

I'd like to see the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse space actually be put to good use. That thing has never interested me.

I guess that giant tree does lend an atmosphere to Adventureland, though.

Personally, I'd like to see an E-ticket mountain rise on the former 20,000 Leagues site, or better yet, a complete extension of Fantasyland through that site leading up to the railroad tracks. Build a major mountain attraction at the end that could be that area's 'weenie' to draw guests. But as you approach, a wonderful Story Book village, similar to Disneyland's FL with new dark ride attractions, possibly Pinocchio & Alice, but some different ones as well such as Little Mermaid or 101 Dalmatians. New themed restaurants and possibly even the MK's own Storybookland Canal Boats and Casey Jr. would be nice. ANYTHING is better than just a simple Pooh's playground. It could lead to another path to connect Toontown Fair which could also get a huge makeover and expansion. This could be a HUGE hit with the family crowds, while the new mountain attraction would appeal to the older kids and thrill seekers. (Perhaps a heavily themed water coaster utilizing state-of-the-art effects?) THAT would certainly put a great deal of magic back in the Magic Kingdom, don't you think?

In the lagoon they could have a small, but detailed Little Mermaid Attraction. Then, they could build a nicely themed bridge over the lagoon into the Story Book Village, with the same stuff that you mentioned brotherdave, with the Story Book Canal Boats, except I'd like to see the Mr. Toad ride rebuilt there, an Alice in Wonderland Maze like at DLP, along with a 101 Dalmations ride. In the back looms the mountain. Maybe they could use the Dragon Tower concept from Beastly Kingdom for the mountain.

-Space Mountain, Big Thunder, Jungle Cruise, and Peter Pan need to get upgraded to at least the quality and technology level they are in Disneyland. The florida versions are extremly stale and dated and their popularity will decline overtime if soemthing isnt done.

-Eventually I would like Disney to come up with good, noncharecter tie-in replacements for Tiki Room, Stitch's great escape, Monsters inc. laugh floor, and Buzz Lightyear (Toy Story mania renders this cardboard cutout ride completly pointless)

Cleanliness and upkeep would also be at the top of the list. Leaving gum all over the pavement is a no-no.

Entertainment would need to be expanded greatly ... a real Western show in the Diamond Horseshoe, shows on the Tomorrowland Stage year-round, more than one show at the castle ... more atmospheric entertainment around the park.

Differentiation of lands ... NO MORE cartoon characters running amuck (newsflash to Disney newbies, but that is NOT what the MK was supposed to be about) ... merchandise that fits ... no High School Musical, Pirates and princess stuff all over ...

I would bring every park attraction into the 21st century in terms of technology and quality show.

Overall ... though ... I'd just make the MK a much more multi-layered experience ... and not the watered down WalMarted version we've had for a decade.

This may be shocking, but there really was a time when Main Street was for more than watching a parade, buying a Grumpy sweatshirt or walking up it in 3-4 minutes to get to 'the rides.'

The MK has become very generic Disney and that isn't good ... it needs to be a multi-layered, multi-sensory experience ... with nuances ... everything doesn't have to beat you over your head with DISNEY MAGIC!

We also enjoyed great Halloween event special set menus and other temporary halloween goodies like pumpking mousse...etc. Why can't they do this at WDW as well? The last 3 days at TDR have made me realize how much I miss NOT being able to just go into the Crystal Palace at WDW and grab a tray and go... without the gimmicks of having to dine with characters and fighting others at the all-you-can-eat buffet area. PLEASE!!! Bring back at least ONE buffeteria style (without being a reservation-only or character meal) restaurant to the MK. I miss my spaghetti/meatballs at the Crystal Palace!

Other than lunch at LTT and an occassional desperation meal at Pecos Bill's or Cosmic Ray's, I never dine there.

It's all burgers, chicken fingers and character dining.

    No choice. No variety. Bleh.
