We decided to watch them from the balcony of the Contemporary, which was very nice. While walking through the Contemporary, I noticed taht the carpet is in BAD need of a cleaning. There were blackened footprints throughout the hotel. Is this in line for a refurb anytime soon? On the way back, however, we had the worst bus driver in the world! She was assigning seats to people, and she yelled at people who sat elsewhere. We all had a good time mocking her on the way back to the resorts, but she was in a terrible mood, and acted like a substitute teacher. The first day was spent in MGM. The highlight of the day was meeting the cars from Cars...Tow Mater and Lighning McQueen were AWESOME! While riding Star Tours, I realized a couple of thigns: first of all, they are not going to redo the movie. The movie is fine (albeit old). What they NEED to do is remaster teh movie so it's in digital format, and redo the sound to THX standards. Do that, and you'll have a great ride again. I dont' know how many times the film flickered like an old reel to reel, but it was bad. GMR was similar, why can't they redo the sound and movie pix clarity at the end? The B&W movie clips look better than Star Wars and some newer ones. ToT was in great shape, as was RnR. All in all, I'd give MGM a goold ol' 8 out of 10...maybe a 7. They desperately need new blood and plussing to their current attractions. Oh yeah, and why couldn't they have put the hat to the side of the Chinese Theater? You can't see it at all. The next day was spent in Epcot. Loved the Nemo ride and queue! As always, Turtle Talk wiht Crush was awesome! How do they do taht, anyway? The new ride was really fun, and the line moved faster than any other line, which was nice. Soarin' was awesome, as always. Is it me, or is Test Track always broken down? We had to come back another day to ride it. Ellen's energy adventure pre-show is BAD. Can we update it a bit? Probably not. World Showcase was nice, as always. Got some great pix. Animal Kingdom should NEVER EVER EVER have a parade! Those streets are way too small to accomodate everybody! What's with the cast members running through the park when late for work, too? I saw more CM's taking trash out of the park IN THE STREETS than ever before! I even saw food deliveries going through the middle of the park...really bad showmanship. EE was awesome! The safari was the best it had ever been. Nemo was great...the only bad thing was the crowds and lack o' space. MK...well, what can I say? I'm an HM geek, and I couldn't ride it more than 3 times due to it making me absolutely sick! It was in the worst shape ever! You could see the scrims creased vertically and horizontally! The picture of Gracey wasn't even turned on. The stretching room is too loud (you cna hear the walls move) and the wallpaper is all crumbled up enough to where it kills the illusions. The doors always opened well before the body falling to the floor, too. The first time we rode it, we couldn't hear anything in our doombuggy. The second time, it was way too loud! Couldn't een talk to each other. The third time it was soooo dark taht you couldn't see the attraction! What is going on? Is the new caretaker THAT BAD or is it up for refurb? Most of the animatronics were broken down and just standing there...even my wife noticed how bad it was. And what's with the lights that are clear with red surroundings? Are those jsut bad lights, or do they mean something? Let's just say that the HM was a major disappointment...they even poured concrete over the ring. Stitch sucked...what a mistake that was. The only reason I liked the jungle cruise was because we had a skipper who was on his last night on the job, and he broke from the script and made us all legitimately laugh! He was awesome! Everything else was pretty standard. I guess my major summation comes in the form of a complaint: they need to get rid of fast pass. I remember the dyas of having two lines on the jungle cruise, and you never waited more than 30 minutes in either one, and they both moved very quickly. Now, you wait 60-90 minutes unless you ahve a fast pass, and when you ahve one, you wait 20 minutes. It's like that on all the rides. And at Test Track, the FP's are gone BEFORE 10 AM...what's up with that? Disney, please get rid of the FP's, and you'll have happier guests. Also, people will stay in an area longer since they don't have to feel rushed to get from one end of the park to another. Oh yeah, my dad got hit in the eye with debris from a firework from Wishes. Disney helped him wash it out, but didn't even care. They said it happens all the time. Now, here's my thoughts: if it's happeneing all the time, why are they knowingly letting people stand in that area? There was another kid who was hit at the same time as my dada was in the same area. Disney is knowingly placing people in a danger zone, which is negligent on their part. I smell a class action!
