Aladdin show is another good 45 minutes in air conditioning. Too bad Country Bears is gone.... that was another place to go for relief, but, well, that's not an option anymore. Where do you go or what do you do to beat the heat?

But when it can't be avoided, like the last time I was at DAK with my mom, I had a Camelbak filled with ice and water, and we shared a Gustbuster SunBLOK umbrella.

They must have been roasting! And the costume character CMs, how hot must that be.

Those are a fabulous invention. My daughter even found them at the Dollar Store!!!!!

Last spring the weather was unseasonably hot. I had my 18mo granddaughter with me and needed to be really careful. On different days I got her to sleep in her sling and then went to 50 Magical Years, Muppet3D, Golden Dreams. I also carry a parasol which really helps when one is stuck in the sun.
Nowadays, we leave when it gets unbearable; (we are getting older and the heat gets to us more) nap in the AC of our room and return when the evening breeze picks up.

If it isn't ungodly hot, riding the train is a good option especially if you have a mister. Find a good seat and ride around and around the park. :)

Of course there are places that are more entertaining to spend all afternoon in, say the Golden Horsehoe. However, ideally, we'll find a way to make JuniorP more comfortable while we go from air conditioned atraction to air conditioned attraction.

P.S.--For those of you who don't know us, this is where going back to your hotel room and possibly swimming in the pool all afternoon comes in, but we live within about 2 hours and don't usually have a hotel room.

Yes I know the resort pools are for people staying on site - and no I don't sneak in - I only found out after that it was done with my DD while I had the bigger kids at Knotts!!
