I booked for Nov. and told them I preferred a pool view when I was asked for a preference since that was pretty the last time.

I guess my stupid question of the day is
whether I will be looking at anything if the special AP rates happen to come back and I decide to change the reservations.

I guess I will have to decide whether I really want to pay the 280.00 per night or head for somewhere else. One part of me is saying that's fine, what the heck. While the other part is thinking more sensibly and cringing at the almost double the price of others. But I guess one of my favorite parts of the trip is just walking thru DTD and admiring the trees with the big colorful ornaments. That's the moment when I know I am on vacation with not a care in the world.
    Thanks again.

So, I guess it's the luck of the draw.

And, if I do get a less than ideal view, oh well--I'm at Disneyland!

When are you visiting in November? We're staying at the DLH Nov. 12-18.

If the hotel has sold out and people have paid for the view rooms, they are going to get them no matter what so don't be disappointed if you are not upgraded. If you don't get an upgrade, I think the best view of the standard rooms to request is the Marina Tower because you can see the fireworks from that side! You might have to look hard to the right but some have said they could see a lot of Disneyland too, at least the mountain tops! Be aware too that many of the lower floors that face in toward the pool and overlook the waterfalls are considered standard view too so you might get lucky there as well. No matter what room you get, you will have a great time.

Last yr when we went it was already sold out by the time we called the 2nd day it was offered. I was so excited because it was the dates when we were going to be there.
I ended up getting the senior citizen deal which I think came out to 193.00 or something per night. ( pool view. Which was nice by the way.
You guys are right tho'. I will have a wonderful time either way. Thanks for the reality check!
