Last time we stayed acroos the street from property, this time we are looking at the Grand californian, we priced the concierge suite at 1200 for the three days with a park view. And we know about Napa Rose. Anyonr know what to do and what not to do, where to eat, what attractions, how far in advance can you make ADR's? Also, is the price of the room a rip-off. As of right now it gonna be just my wife and I. I'd appreciate any input. Thanks

Have you checked going for a package though getawaytoday.com , costco, disney, or AAA -- I would check different ways and see how good you can get.

Originally Posted By blueharvest82 I agree with you guys, I think 600 is rediculous, the last time we went we stayed at the tropic something hotel which was directly across from the maingate. The issue is that we may be going with some friends of the family that were very interested in concierge level rooms because that it what they stay in when they are WDW. I was spending time with them last week at the concierge level at the Polynesian, I had no idea you got free food and drinks, so I think it might be worth it to cut food costs. Its kind of frustrating not knowing a lot about a disney resort, let me tell ya.

The IHOP accross the DLR entrance on Harbor is really over priced and no better than any other of that chain, avoid it at all costs! For a special meal everyone who's eaten there says Napa Rose is a wonderful experience with great food. Not everyone agrees about Blue Bayou.

The PPH is nice, but not as luxurious as the GCH. It is quite a bit farther away from the parks than the GCH is. Also, the food that they offer in the PPH concierge lounge is not as plentiful or interesting as it is in the GCH lounge. At the GCH, we had no problem with getting two full meals' worth, plus snacks and drinks, out of the concierge lounge food. At the DLH and the PPH, the lunch time offerings are pretty dismal. If you are around for the hot appetizers (I can't remember if they start at 4 or 5) they can make a good meal, but we were almost never at the hotel at that time as when we were there the parks closed early. I hope that help! : )
