But be warned, the suites at GCH are by far the most expensive of the 3 hotels. Look for any discounts you can get; AAA, Annual Passholder discount, military, senior discount etc. Have a wonderful trip!

Originally Posted By smoaky I've stayed at DLH and PPH before and the Paradise Pier is actually our hotel of choice on Disney property, but we have never stayed at the Grand Californian. We are AP's but I understand the senior discount is deeper than the regular 10% AP discount. My MIL can get us a senior discount, so I thought we could splurge a little on our first stay at GCH. I've heard their rooms are somewhat smaller than the other hotels, so a suite would be ideal. Thanks for all the responses!

A king, 2 queens, 1 room, 2 rooms, etc. I've seen the rates for a 1 bedroom suite at the Grand in the $400 to $600 a night range sometimes higher.

I have stayed at the GCH 3 times. The last stay we booked a DTD view with bunkbeds, and we were upgraded to a park view with bunkbeds. That was a HUGE hit with the kids (my two boys and my nephew), they just loved the bunkbeds. But in general, the rooms at the other two properties are a bit larger. But the location of the GCH cannot be beat. I think the senior discount is around 25 or 30 percent, that would make a big dent in the cost of a suite at the GCH. I would totally go for it!
