I can't remember what they called the special handling of it. Anyway, I am suggesting this because you can't take the stoller you get in DL over to the DCA park. You will have to turn it in at DL, you are given a voucher for one over at DCA, and then you go over there and get a new one for inside that park. Will you also need it to get from your hotel to the park and back at night? It was just so much easier for us to bring ours along and it was a big tandem (seat in front and back) stroller. Just a thought. I have been reading your planning posts. I hope you have a wonderful time on your trip. 11 days for us. Merry

Although we don't plan on hopping to and from parks very much, we will have the walk to HoJo at the end of the day, and I can already hear the little one (who's not so little anymore) whining to be carried already. I'm not sure if we even have a little umbrella stroller anymore, but I know where we can borrow one, or at the very least, get one cheap. Thanks!

I love the whole gate checking of the stroller. You fold it down, at the end of the ramp, then it shows up there and sometimes they even set it up for you when you get off the plane. Nice to be able to plunk down kids or bags or carseats, etc in it to get to the shuttle, baggage claim, next gate, etc. When we went in June, we brought 2 umbrella strollers - they sell them at Zellers/Walmart in Calgary for like $17, cheap.. the ones at Zellers even have a little mesh bag attached and a little sun cover. Our 5 year old was happy to sit in the stroller at the end of the day, as well as in the large crowds exiting the park after the fireworks, it was a blessing to have the kids strapped in somewhere we could always see them....
