Anyone know what to plan for this time of year? Also, anything special in the parks for New Year's Eve?

And prepare for huge crowds, especially on NYE! I believe there are special fireworks as well as live music (in DCA I think!).

We got there early on NYE day to make sure we got tickets and I think the park was just as crowded as during the summer (without the heat). The park thinned out when it started pouring rain. We were troopers and stuck it out, though we did take about an hours break and go back to the hotel for dry shoes, and we were warned it was a possibility DL would be full and we would not be able to return.

Just plan ahead (rain suits and umbrellas, shorts and warm weather stuff too) that way you will be prepared.

I can happily say that I spent New Years Eve at Disneyland...an experience of a lifetime...now I can move on to other lifetime experiences.

Weather...the sun will come up late and go down early. Come on...in this area the weather people spent half of their time telling us why they were wrong with yesterdays forcast. Did you see the Rose Parade on Jan. 2nd 2006? Rain-Rain-Rain. But then again in the daytime the temp may go up to the 70s-or not! Be sure to plan on chilly nights no matter what the daytime temperature is. This is the best I can do.

I hope your boys have a very sucessful season.

I live where it's generally in the 20's at night and maybe 40's/50's during the day (occasional snow)... and we went there a few Decembers ago and absolutely FROZE!!! I could not believe it. (I grew up in that area and had never seen it so cold.) So definitely take jackets and maybe gloves for nighttime, at least.

Daytime should be nice, as long as it's not rainy. (It tends to rain more in January, I think.)

Why do you envy 115 degree weather from May until September? I would rather have your weather year round at 70 degrees. BUt you probably get a lot of rain, which I wouldn't mind either.
