Evidently leemac was absolutely correct in the quality of this product. If you can win Spirit over, you can just about win anybody over. The challenge now becomes into getting all the folks to try it out. I guess if they can get enough fans lined up outside, and promote it enough, things will work out for the show.

Food prices that have driven me from giving Disney my business (I feel like he's giving me the business) and parks that are obviously being neglected in upkeep and cleanliness ... when I can go an entire day ...and see ONE custodial CM at EPCOT something's very, very wrong. And letting the park's horticulture go to hell just because Flower Fest is coming next month is inexcusable. Somehow I doubt the Studios were in such disrepair when the Idol premiere happened. Or during Bob Iger's recent choreographed visit. Oh and there are plenty of people in the parks, plenty. And a vast majority are folks here on the 4/3 deal. Anyway, I have some rather spirited matters to attend to in this very last minute visit ... but I did want to put down some thoughts here ... Oh, and merchandise is a bit more interesting mess ... and I really think the new Sebastian/Flounder themed carpeting in the halls of the Beach Club are just further evidence that Disney has lost its way completely snd reslly believes its psrks and resorts are all about cartoon characters. Discuss ...

For the most part it wasn't.>> My meals have been almost entirely off site with three exceptions (two full serve, one quick). I was satisfied with what I had where I had it for the price that was paid. But it is clear the DDP is doing what it was designed to ... fill every table and screw the people smart enough to not buy into the plan to begin with. On a moderately crowded day, there is no reason for all table serves to be booked at MK in early afternoon except because of DPP. You hear people either blathering on in utter ignorance about what a deal they are getting with DDP ... or you hear them bitching about the absurd costs of food. They have convinced me they don't want my dining dollars, so they I say let's get that steak at Flying Fish up to that $50 price point! <<As I reported on my trip the Parks were very clean. I'm convinced the crowds make all the difference in the world.>> Parks have been clean this week (started out very crowded, but steadily has gone down) ... but there's one huge exception ... that would be the filthy pavement and walkways that have gum splotches, ODV stains, dropped food remnants etc ... it's very obvious that pressure cleaning is done very rarely. Interesting that Studios had cleanest walkways when they had a large media party last week, so I'm sure that had nothing to do with anything. <<It shouldn't, but evidently it does. Horticulture is really bad. I never thought I would see WDW like that.>> Well, perhaps they need to go over to Sea World to see that the competition still beleives in keeping parks beautiful and that no, wood chips don't count as landscaping! >> Oh and there are plenty of people in the parks, plenty. And a vast majority are folks here on the 4/3 deal. << <<It's hard to pass on that deal, if you still have some money in your pocket.>> Talked to many people. Most of these trips were booked quite a while ago and swapped for the deal when it came out. many folks are downsizing too. Spoke to a family from Washington state who were planning on a week at the WL, but wound up at ASMu instead with the 4/3 deal. Per capita spending is going to fall through the floor unless Disney literally gives every guest a $500 gift card when they arrive. It's amazing when you have to wait minutes to see a person carrying a shopping bag at WDW, but that's the case now ... and everything seemingly is on sale ... WoD resembles a Circuit City these days ... and people still are mostly looking, not buying. That's what happens when you're in a depression, though. <<Before I forget to ask, have the ducks returned yet?>> I have seen many ducks, yes (as well many other critters on the drive up, including more gators than I think I have ever seen along the FLA Turnpike)
