My son and I are going to Disneyland in a couple of weeks and flying into Long Beach. I cant find any transportation for less than $50 each way for the 2 of us! That's a ridiculous fee, it's only 3 miles further than OC Airport and WAY closer than LAX. Anybody know of anything cheaper? I don't want to rent a car, because then I'll have to pay for parking at the hotel.

Something about the taxi can take you from the airport, but cannot pick up another fare on the way back.
Have you checked to see if the bus would work for you?

    But for what it's worth:

I would go to the LA Metro website:
    <a href="http://www.metro.net/" target="_blank">http://www.metro.net/</a>

In the right column, in gray .. there's "Metro Trip Planner" ... type in "from": Long Beach Airport. Then in the "to": Disneyland.

It then prompts you to the buses necessary to get to DL. One "Long Beach city" line .. then 2 "Orange County line" buses.

Not exactly a convenient method. But a last resort.

I even tried the Long Beach Airport website .. but there seems to be no "Airport to DL" shuttle.

Hopefully darkbeer will have an answer for you.

    I looked at this...
    <a href="http://www.longbeach.gov/airport/transport/shuttle.asp" target="_blank">http://www.longbeach.gov/airpo...ttle.asp</a>

And I have a feeling the Super Shuttle is going to be your only option.

But lets see what Darkbeer will have to say.

I hope for a day .... our major businesses, airports, attractions are connected by monorails and peoplemovers. Or some sort of rail systems.

This bus/van/shuttle rigmarole is for the birds.

A relative will be able to take us back to the airport when we have to leave.
