Sorry i just realized it hasn't been posted here on Laughingplace.

Maybe the moderators could post it so people can see it.

Meanwhile it can be seen over at mouseinfo.

Do you guys think it will re-viatlize the Island with something visual during the day?

Will the interactive elements attract people from the mainland?

    whats everyones opinion.

I can imgine a much, much more spectacular, exotic, fun pirate island. I am sure they have consept art of that as well. The problem lies with the death of Tom Sawyer Island if a bigger consept is used and how that all would fit in with Frontierland. I guess I wouldn't mind Frontierland leaving as long as what replaced it was really good. I don't know how you would reimagineer BTM into a Pirate theme though!

    Could be fun.

I wonder how they'll prevent the island from getting overcrowded?

Right. So imagine on a particularly busy day, either standing in line to get over or to get back.

Not terribly fun. Especially waiting to go over. You've waited in line for 20 minutes, and a cast member says 'We have to wait for other guests to come back from the island.'

The cannons shooting into the river make a lot more sense for people to see and logistically than the falling chimneys. There is a sign on the cider mill building that says Lafayette's Tavern, which I assume has been ditched since then as well. I would guess that they are going to keep some sort of mast on the stage area, since they have been working on one of the trap doors since they closed the island, so there will probably be a removable structure there. Other than that, I really don't see much in the picture that is more than just people dressed as pirates adding atmosphere.

If they can have 3 rafts going again - That would help a lot with the lines when the island reopens

I wouldn't be surprised, however, if they used the extra raft to get the entertainers over there and back, since it would be weird to ride over on a raft with them.

There is actually references to Lafeyette in areas surrounding the New Orleans walkways. One prop is an anchor near the river.

I am guessing that the artist left the Mark twain with its 50th decorations because at the time the idea was being worked on the Mark twin still had its decor up.

I thought I read that it was open during the early 90's after it was built, but it seems to just be a big prop now. I wonder if there would be enough room in there to have some variety of food without getting in the way of the Fantasmic! stuff.

Well, with all those people waiting around to get back to the 'mainland' you'll eventually have to feed them! :)

And since they all came over on a raft at one point too, I dooubt that there would be a horribly long line to return.
