Any info on this and do kids like it better then DLH pool area? Also how far is the walk to DCA and the maingate from PPH? Planning a trip next month and would appreciate all opinions. The walk is not bad at all. Just cross the street to the GCH and enter thru their entrance to DCA. For Disneyland, just cut thru the GCH, and enter DTD and walk to the main gate. Or you can cut thru the parking lot near the DLH, and walk to the monorail. Either way, an easy stroll.

If you can, get a park view room, you won't be disappointed!

Yeah I recommend you cut through the GCH. It's a bit faster than the sign posted way(especially if your lucky with the pedistrian lights), and it also gets you into the heart of Downtown much faster.
