But I expected there to be lots of kids out early where we were but it was only a few other families here and there. Weird. We had 4 kids of trick-or-treating age and NINE adults; eight of whom were in costume. So, we had fun (and still are as the kids are in bed). HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

WE are really lucky, we live in a neighbourhood that seems to get modded with kids in costumes. Some of the mom's were looking great. My friend Mark and I were the only Dads that dressed up. We set the graveyard and jackolanterns up. Sadly some punk vandalised Mikey's 1st 100% solo effort at about 8 o'clock. Yesterday was a hoot. We went to the children's centre for a 9:30 am party, in costume. We had a cook breakfast of witches (round toast for a head, beans for hair, a sausage for the brim of the witch's hat, and a hashbrown for a hat). Then we carved pumpkins, made spider decorations out of old black socks and pipe cleaners, baked and decorated cup cakes, and looked at insects. It was great. We then went grocery shopping in costume. Carved the pumpkins. And then some friends came over while us Dads took the kids out trick or treating and the mom's stayed at home dishing candy (and Sarah was hot last night - sadly in the excitement, I didn't snap photos, I am a bad man). Halloween has been celebrated in pockets, but the proliferation has only been over the last 5 - 10 years. And do you know what the key has been IMHO? The opening of Disneyland PAris. DLP started celebrating Halloween in style in the mid 90's, other European parks copied, and now the super markets are finally selling stuff. It is so cool that my kids can do it too.

Awesome!

Now I just need to follow your example (I'm as heavy as I've ever been, and it is becoming a big problem with gout and other weight based troubles...ugh). Shall we race?
