All they are is a way for people to effectively ride a skateboard where they clearly wouldn't be allowed to otherwise.

Can these things be considered safe for use in general public? Walking up or down stairs in shoes with wheels on them? C'mon....

Now -- in the spirit of open-mindedness -- I am willing to listen to anyone who might suggest what "pluses" these shoes have to offer. I myself can't think of many.

WDW CM's -- what is the official company stance on these? Are CM's supposed to be notifying young guests and their parents about these?

Anyhow, they don't really bother me - it's their occupants that get on my nerves! lol

And no I've never worn them, but I don't mind them if they're used as intended!!!

Sidenote: Publix is introducing a kids shopping cart with a built in television. Pay $1 when you get the cart and the kid can watch one of his favorite movies while you are shopping.
Why didn't I think of that?

I would bet I could get to about 20 MPH coming down the hill from the Land Pavilion

oh well I guess that's why they don't make them in size 11
the last thing needed in the world is a 200 pound 45 year old man trying to break a land speed record in EPCOT

They are more like wearing roller skates, than riding a skateboard.

Pluses for them, other than that they are fun? I can't really think of any.

I'm more concerned with the stroller nazis who'll take out anyone who dares to get in their way then these skateshoes.

I think they are really annoying, because the kids using them tend to go out in front of their group, while moving along, and take laps around other groups and stuff. If they just wheeled along with their groups, I would have no problem, but it seems like they think that the shoes are giving them extra rights to bug other people. Hopefully some of the stamped cement will get to them.....

Some moron who is now on his way to the bank I am telling you!! I *HATE* those darn shoes. I am sick and tired of having to dodge kids on those darnb wheeler sneakers everywhere I go.. Disney, the supermarket, Target... ANYWHERE. It's just another way for kids to roll along instead of walking to burn the fat.

Won't be long, if you turn the channel, there is a piece of gum on the tv or damged channel tuner.

In just a few years, these kids may be drafted into The National Hockey League.
