Although the touch screen allows for more information to be seen, it does have the problems mentioned above. (But for gloves, the CM's could use the hobo-stlye mittens that flip back to reveal gloves without fingertips, but I didn't think it ever really got that cold in Florida)

I mentioned airplanes; all modern commercial and military jets have so-called "glass cockpits" with multiple LCD or CRT screens showing tons of info, but controls are still "old fashioned" buttons, dials and switches.
