    IMO touch screen controls are a bad idea. There is a reason why they don't use then in airplanes: they don't provide any tactile feel for the operator. They don't work with gloved hands either, potentially an issue when it gets cold in Florida.

    I assume it is for the ride operators. Most attractions have a metal box with a couple buttons and switches with lights on it that is used to dispatch the vehicles. Although the touch screen allows for more information to be seen, it does have the problems mentioned above. (But for gloves, the CM's could use the hobo-stlye mittens that flip back to reveal gloves without fingertips, but I didn't think it ever really got that cold in Florida)

    Interesting, since my freeloading customers in Business Class *can* touch their personal video screens for all of the functions available, including music, movies, emailing, games, shopping, survey participation...etc etc etc.

    Yes it is Expedition Everest. I don't know all the ins and outs of the system. But I have my concerns about this too. My friend said that he is about to head over to HKDL for 6-9 months. We says he is going to be working on a "new" ride. I asked it it was going to be ToT. He would not confirm that. Anyway, I guess its nice to know that Disney is attemting to be more cutting edge with their computer technology.
