Snow White, Dopey, Bambi and Thumper are all done up real nice as topiaries there, completely surrounded by a thick field of wild flowers. The wild flowers are planted so thickly that there is NO space between them. And the topiaries are set back from the edge of the planter by 10 feet or so. I have already seen people who will walk out on the flowers so that they can stand directly next to the topiary for a picture. And once once person does it, somebody else decides to too. I could see today where there's the beginning of a path of stomped flowers leading from the edge of the planter to Snow White. I have even seen parents encourage their kids to go out there and stand next to Snow White so they can get a picture. Where do these people come from?

My question is, "Where was security?". And what really irks me, is that they set it to music and seemed really proud of their antics. Is there no respect for property anymore? Buying admission to the park does not entitle you to destroy or harm anything in it! Anyway, here's the link to the video http://www.themeparkreview.com /contest2004.htm Scroll down until you see one of these dorks sitting in a fountain and the title is "Hope McArthur's Epcot Video". Oh yeah, I forgot. The video also won an award on the website! Unbelievable....

I'm one of the ones who ask people politely to get out of the flowers. "For your safety, miss." I also stop people who are smoking where they shouldn't be. I even pick up papers in the middle of the walk. And yes, I did ask the yahoo to please get out of the flowers. On top of it all, the photo that they were trying to get would make a rotten image.

If those parents were to sit there for hours to plant those flowers and to form the topiaries, they would think twice. They have no respect or concern for the many people who worked very hard. We owned a landscaping business and I know what it takes to do that kind of work. All I can say is ignorance comes to mind when I think of those types of people.

"You go over there and tell dem dere dose guys to knock it off or I will myself!" ;-) And I may be 3 inches taller'n you, but seein' as you're quite a bit bigger'n I am, I wouldn't shoot my mouth off at ya either!

I once had myself and my then two year old son trampled on by some over zealous Red Neck adults, breaking in front of us to get a picture of themselves with Minnie in Future World West. My little boy suffered a sprained ankle from it and I came very close to going all "George Dubya" on them. It was some satisfaction when the "guy who hangs around the character" made them leave and we got all kinds of extra time with Minnie and a trip to first aid with her.

It just strikes me that picking up a piece of trash that someone might discard thoughtlessly is one thing. But someone so casually stepping on something living and so pretty crosses a line. And then it's not bad enough that one person does it. As soon as someone does such a thing, it opens the gates for others to "give her a go" too. Yahoos. >> a trip to first aid with Minnie << Now THAT's a special Disney event.

Your kids better not do it, yet you seem to say it's "ok" to mistreat other people's property?? If I was one of those hard working gardeners... I would be quite p****d about your comment.

You are right the flowers do get replanted but it takes a lot of time and energy to plant those flowers. From my own experience owning a Landscaping business, it is hard work and for someone to walk all over them even if they do get replaced is not a nice thing to do or to see. JMO
