But there have been times when we would have liked to stop and we were past Magic Mountain so we did not want to pull off the freeway and then try to get back on cause it is all so confusing down there to us. Does anyone have a place that they stop at and can suggest that is easy on and off? I would really appreciate any suggestions. Thanks

There is a Red Lobster, a mexican place and a number of other places to choose from. Hope this helps.

ocdean suggested to us last year that if we did stop here that we continue on the Frontage road alongside 5 and take the next freeway entrance (maybe he will post the name of it) It worked nicely for us, you basically follow it until you see the freeway entrance sign and you sweep right on :)

In my notes I also have Burbank Blvd. in Burbank that has a Starbucks, Jamba Juice and Krispy Kreme on the right of the freeway. We haven't stopped there so I'm not sure of the onramp.

Like you we try not to stop after the grapevine but sometimes you just gotta :)

I typically don't stop once we're past the Magic Mountain Area. The frontage street referenced above is called The Old Road as it crosses Magic Mtn. Parkway (There is a Hilton Garden Inn and Marie Callendars on the corner). It may change names as it heads south.

I've stopped at the big shopping center in Burbank that's one the left side of 5 after the airport exits. It's a fine area.

My husband likes their tornados (pronounced tornahdo) which are a kind of huge spicy flour taquito but they were all out every time we stopped this last week. It also gives you a nice breather before hitting the LA traffic.

Juicer, I have never eaten at a Macarioi Grill but it sounds great but I do know that we all love the Claim Jumper. I think that I know where you are taking about. Thanks a million!

SuzieQ, One tank of fuel wow that is so cool. We usually stop in Button Willow and that will take us into DL and back to Button Willow again. I guess it may take us all the way home cause we usually have about 1/2 tank when we get home after fueling up again on the way home in Button Willow. I am very leary now of places that sell diesel we just got a batch with water in it at one of our local stations and it has cost us $260 so far to have the truck fixed and this is a brand new truck. GRRR Thanks again SuzieQ.

Thank you so very much everyone for all of your great suggestions we will have to try them on our next trip in June.

Then to Starbucks drive through and keep our fingers crossed that we don't hit traffic and need another potty break because we stopped at Starbucks :)

I did not know that there was a starbucks there I will have to keep a look out for that on our next trip. I try to be careful also cause of the potty thing. LOL

We have stopped at the Button Willow TA for fuel and potty and some strange man came up to me and wanted to take my son to the rest room with him and I was like oh heck NO he is going into the same restroom as me. I was so creeped out and thought that we will not stop there for pottys anymore. But we never let our DS who is 9 go to any pottys by himself. You can never be to careful now days. Creepy people and bathrooms. YUCK!
