With traffic and stopping for dinner we did not get back to Anaheim until after 8 so went straight back to DL for fireworks. (Hubby was resistant as we were tired but I was afraid that if we skipped a day that they might get cancelled.) We have seen the FW from just about every place on Main street so wanted to try the Small World view. If you have seen Tinkerbell fly enough times I highly recommend it. We loved it and got great video. And there was absolutely NO crowd!!! We went to Toontown station and when the train came by they did not let anyone on. When the next one came they left with many empty seats. We gave up and walked. The upside is that we ran into a guy that we had spent our 9 hours in line on 7/17 with. It was really neat but as he was in the handicapped line he got on and we didn’t. We also met someone that I know from LP and we had a nice chat before giving up on the train. We wanted to be at the gate early Sunday so we left. We did make it early (an hour early as we got times mixed up and thought they opened at 8AM. Not a loss as we met a great lady on the tram who is on LP and also a Red Hatter as I am. We waited in line together and had good conversation. (Like me, she has quit telling her friends she is going to DL because they just don’t “get it.â€) We did our usual and headed for the Matterhorn but it was broken. We went to Toontown for RR. Then we went on Small World. We realized that we had not done BTMR yet so we headed there. Then we headed for DCA as we had yet to do Soarin’. You guessed it, it was broken. We bought a Malibu Frappe and had a snack. By the time we were done Soarin’ was back up and the line was already over 90 minutes. So we got FP’s and decided to see Golden Dreams. As native-born Californians we like to see this occasionally. Then we went to Bug’s Land and rode Heimlech. I do believe we were the only grownups in line with no kids to accompany us;o). Saw Tough to be a Bug (love that show) and our FP’s were ready. After Soarin’ we headed back to the hotel for lunch and a nap as we were planning for 10:30 F! We didn’t rush at all and when we got back to DL it was after 7. We got on the train and got off at NOS just to check out the crowd situation. There was nobody waiting on the walkway above Pirates so there we stayed. (Remember, I have a new video camera and was taping anything and everything.) Had perfect view and got great shots. While waiting we met couples from Canada and Fresno. When the FW’s were cancelled (see I was prophetic on Sat.)we took one last ride on Pirates and headed out. We walked through the shops on Main St. and I found a leather jacket that I had been looking for. I had looked everywhere but only Disneyana had it. I was thrilled. To spite the warm weather I wore it. We knew we had to pack and wanted to get plenty of sleep to get to park early Monday and be sure to leave by 2 for that long drive home

We went on the first tram of the day and the guy was such a riot; it was like being on the Jungle Cruise for an hour but with real animals. We stayed until the very last tram of the day and it was the polar opposite of the other. The lady was soft spoken and full of facts. It was the perfect way to relax at the end of the day. If I could go there more often I would take a book, some snacks, go up the trail to the Condor exibit and just relax for hours listening to the animals. Rod wanted to do the balloon ride but I did not feel it was long enough. I want to do the Roar and Snore sometime. I will post our final day at DL tomorrow.ºoº
