I'm not a huge fan of the show but there were various acts that I thoroughly enjoyed and will miss. However the energy and excitement of the show last night was unprecendented.

The first thing it reminded me was that Disney is family. The first section of seats was filled with fellow castmembers. If you ever watch Eureka or Animazement you would've recognized many of the faces of the "guests" seated in the first floor middle section. To see them gather in support of their fellow cast members was awesome.

Before the show started you could hear the cast cheer backstage. The performers as is often the case with final performances strayed from some of the scripted lines. My favorite being when the younger boy, Danny is telling his older brother Alex how much trouble he would've been in if he hadn't have saved him he said, "Yeah, they would've taken your seasonal pass away". And later the younger brother appeared wearing mouse ears.

It was great to hear the crowd cheer as the very popular Hakuna Matata number started.

Another touching moment was when the fairy godmother told the young performer who played the older brother that she would always be proud of him.

When the show concluded the audience jumped to their feet with shouts, cheers and applause. Other members of the Steps in Time were invited on stage to shouts and cheers. A few tears were shed, too. Then the curtain dropped and the cast could be heard cheering.

    How fun!!!

    Rebekah.

It was cool to see some friends from Festival actually in the cast of Steps in Time for the last show here, and while not as emotional, it was just as fun! I love it when performers are given a bit of liberty in the last show... like the fish coming out and dancing the robot! It was great... and like Rebekah said, I loved the line that Vera told the boys, it was very touching!

Thanks to the cast and crew for entertaining us these past 9 months. It might not have been the best show Disney's ever done, but it sure was fun!

The theater was packed. DCA's "Steps In Time", the short-lived, flashy musical of the famed Hollywood Backlot, went out one last time in a blaze of screaming fans before permenantly closing on Sunday night.

    I will miss that show.

With final note of aknoledgement, I have got to hand it to the performers for holding thier composure during the last parts of the show. I'll say one thing for the performers of Disneyland entertainment; they're a dedicated bunch. I only hope that someday I will have the honor of including myself in that catigory.

The boys were also dancing along with the performers at the end the last few songs. Saw them twirling around for the Steps in Time number.

For me, it was the irreplaceable and stupidly-closed hit Woody's Roundup. They turned people away on a daily basis, yet shuttered this charming show because the studio wouldn't pay for it any more. It was great to be able to thank the people responsible for spreading so much joy there, and to get Alice's picture with a box of Cowboy Crunchies.

Second: Pocahontas at Disney-MGM. Grown Warriors, sobbing onstage. It killed me. However, the show that replaced it is my all-time fave, other than OMD.

Yes, that was a wonderful close. My husband and I attended every show those last two days and watching the video of the last show still brings tears. Pictures of cast members with tears streaming down their faces, as well as out-of-costume cast members in the audience on that last day.

The kids in the show were Disney's youngest cast members. They had some hard times during the run (child cast members were, ironically, a new concept for Disney), but it was a WONDERFUL experience. There are no new opportunities planned for child performers.

As sad as we were, we really felt for all the dancers/singers who are losing their jobs (along with those in Animazement and Eureka). They gave the show their all and were professial to the end! Whether you liked the show or not, they were incredible!!!

Kenna was fabulous as Vera, and really went off the wall with her trademark "R-E-S-P-E-C-T" and "Well a-movin' on up!", and her glass-shattering ending of A Whole New World.

I nearly started crying myself when tears were forming in her eyes as she said to Alex, "Remember, no matter what you do, we're all ready proud of you." Very touching.

The dancers pulled all sorts of fun stunts, from one female dancer doing the splits and ballet stretches during "Go The Distance" to the male dancer who pushed Vera's chair. He pulled out a box of tissues and wiped Vera's forehead when she talked about needing a rest.

The crowd was wild, and the energy was phenomenal. After seeing this show nearly 30 times since its opening with DCA, I have to say I will miss it incredibly.

It really was an awesome show...it had probs, but overall, it was fluffy fun with great songs and dances.

I have to stop typing because I'm about to start crying!

Hi ShowMom....I'm friends with the [Name removed by admin] family. Your son did an awesome job on Sunday! Congrats. Josh was spectacular, as usual.

AND don't even get me started on Animazement closing!

    Anyone got a tissue???

Congratulations to everyone involved in this production. I wish it could have ran longer.

Yes, it was hip and edgy, and even sassy. No one who saw it will ever forget the beat of the drums as "I want to be like you" starts, the "Under the Sea" with the fish head fashion show, and of course "Hakuna Matata." Some didn't care for the show, but I thought it was a lot of fun! I hope will will get to see something this fun in the Hyperion again!!!

And for whoever didn't get a chance to see the Snow White numbers (from the original show, prior to DCA opening) I hope Disney finds a way to use that in some future production. It was really the most spectacular part of the entire show!

Again, thanks to everyone involved in this production, and although a bit early, thanks for a wonderful 1st year of the Eureka! parade!

Being a part of the Cast since Day ONE of the Steps in Time project, I'm sad to see it all go! I even heard that they already chopped down our sets! :(
But we all must move on, and I'm happy that I had so many supporters on the final day & show! I had tons of parade friends come see me & the rest of my cast perform the "you know what" out of it! Thanks to everyone!

I hope the next show is even better!

Even I like Superstar Limo because it's so hysterically bad....but Steps.....oh.......god.....

I do feel for the performers though. They gave their best, the poor things.

    Of course, it's gone now....so why don't I just be happy? :)

I love Superstar Limo because it is so horribly bad. But I saw the first version of Steps in January and was severely underwhelmed and confused. I saw the second version of Steps this summer, wanting to give the show a second chance, and again left underwhelmed and with absolutely no desire to ever return.

Who was in charge of that show?
