New Year's Eve will undoubtedly see gate closure at some point during the day. It is really a fun place to be for New Year's, but get there early and plan to stay all day and into the night if you want to be guaranteed a spot for midnight fireworks!

My sister and I (AP holders yay!) go enough that it doesn't matter to us if we really ride all that much, just being there is fine with us!

    Thanks for all the tips!!!

I am a former Main Entrance CM myself and I can tell you that the entrance turnstiles are regularly closed to new entries and occasionally to re-entry during the weeks before and after Christmas - particularly New Year's Eve. Although re-entry tends to reopen later in the evening it has happened that Guests who were in the Park earlier were not allowed back in when they wanted to come back and it threw off their plans with family to meet up. It is true that Thanksgiving is very busy but according to the attendance numbers New Year's Eve is the busiest. That said, once the attendance is that high a few extra or even a few extra thousand Guests aren't going to change the feel all that much. Busy is busy. It's fantastic to be there and fun if you go with the right attitude, but make no mistake that it will be extremely crowded.
