It obviously fits more snugly. They both are comfortable, but I prefer the size 8 for comfort and the size 7 for style. I would buy a size 9 if I wore size 9. You can also print out a sizing chart from the crocs website that allows you to stand on it to see what size you should wear. Different styles may fit differently. I only have Mary Janes.

Hahaha. I wear my Crocs every day. They are my main shoes. My feet even have little round tan marks from the holes in the shoes.
