Originally I had intended to allow for 3 days to take care of shopping before we left for disneyland. But I am having a bad case of withdrawls (did not go last summer) and the kids are just as antisy as I am. So I need a place to go shopping for those things we need once we get to DL. (It makes the most sense to go shopping well before we leave but they live 5 hours (0ne way) away from me, so preshopping is not possible. So, we will spend an afternoon shopping instead of napping. They are older so should hold better without naps.) Knowing my ex-daughter-in-law, she will send the absolute worst play clothes they own hoping that I will buy all new for them. (At least that has been the pattern the last two trips. She tried to pull that stunt last summer, but we stayed in state and went camping. She was a bit miffed that they did not get a new summer wardrobe and school shoes out of thier visit.) Considering she dresses them like little rag-a-muffins away (only shops at the best stores for herself), I am assuming they will need everything. Shirts, shorts, pants, shoes, sandals, socks, underware and pj's. Additionally, I try to save a bit of money by eating breakfast and lunch at the hotel. We usually have dinner in DL or at a nice place close to DL. So I need a close store that has a variety for both boys and girls at a nice price. Thanks in advance for any advice. If you know of another place that is really resonable and close let me know about it. Thanks again Tink

There is a Target south of the DLR at Harbor and Chapman in Garden Grove. But IMHO the better one is the one NORTH on Harbor at the corner of Harbor and Orangethorpe. Let alone will you find the Target, but MANY other stores, including the Disney Character Warehouse, another Food4Less, a Costco, and many food outlets, including a In-n-Out.

I'll just yahoo the address and directions from the resort and it should not be a problem getting there. SuzieQ, thank you for the Wal Mart information. I am a political scientist and don't shop at Wal Mart due to principles. I realize that with three children I would save money, but just can't bring myself to go there.

The main shopping center is just past where you go over the 91 freeway/ When you get to Orangethrope (the cross-street), Target would be on the south-west corner. In-n-Out and Costco on the north-east corner. The Character Warehouse is on the south-east corner, and the Food4Less Grocery store is one block east of the Character Warehouse.
Originally Posted By Tink60 Thanks Darkbeer, I did not realize that the northern shopping center offered so much in one place. Looks like we will go north. I think I actually turned around in that complex one time when I missed the west entrance to the 91. We take the 91 to go to my sister-in-laws place in Applevalley. It should all be familar which will help. Thanks everyone!!!!
