I wish it was longer and a little more in depth, but lots of fun. Not sure but I think I've seen the D'arby O'gill stuff elsewhere as well.
Originally Posted By gurgitoy2 I got all four, but have only watched bits of "Your Host Walt Disney", and "More Silly Symphonies". I have to say, I like the bonus content on "Symphonies". Way more than the first volume. Lots of commentary tracks, and interesting info. Quite a lot of obscure ones too, since most of the more well-known shorts were on the first volume. As for "Your Host Walt Disney", I like it, but wish it had been better. Why not replace one of the episodes that has already been released with "Disneyland Goes to the World's Fair" or something that's not been released before. I did like seeing "Disneyland '59", and the bonus feature of "Disneyland at Radio City Music Hall". That last one really made me want to see the full film! I also really enjoyed the interview with Diane Disney-Miller, but wished it was longer as well. To me, it's an "ok" set, not great but not terrible either. Oh, and I have to say, after finally seeing the "Rainbow Road to OZ" segment, I'm kind of glad they didn't make the film! The songs were so-so, and it was just a little too cheezy. I'd love a more faithful telling of the OZ stories.

While I'm sure it has it's fans "Elfego Baca and The Swamp Fox " can't be high on the "NEED TO HAVE" list of the average Disney collector. Home Video makes some peculiar decisions. The Zorro series was released without much fanfare, without much $ push and without much in the way of Bonus and would likely have been better suited to the Treasures series.

The "legacy" series is frustrating. What I thought was cardboard is actually green felty material with a clear plastic lid. That alone makes it look kind of cheap but the 'movie reel' tin is cute but what I'd really like to see folks do is rather than have the tin with the plastic clamshell why don't they go with a thinner plastic clamshell or something. Less packaging *not* cheaper looking packaging. IMHO, of course. Either way these tins used to have a really special nature about them.. and now it's like ehh.. I'm glad they're out there but next holiday season I won't be surprised to see them back in their chunky plastic clamshells being sold at costco for like 15 bucks. Oh and the 'collectible' thingy.. um. Was I missing something in our tins?? Under the felt thing was an ad for "DISNEY PARKS" vacation planning with a plug for the all new exciting "Expedition Everest" (but doesn't tell you what park that is nevermind that we all know it's WDW but some soul might not). A chapter listing of the disc (that's helpful) and a 'passport' with a 'map' of where they shot the video.. wow.. that's omg.. that's just.. a waste of paper, that. IMHO ;P of course. (Why did I think it was going to be a postcard of something?)

For one thing, there isn't any good way to see the content on the DVD's when on a shelf. The paper on the back came right off because of the cheap glue, so I put them inside of the tins. There's no listing on the little film cans either...so to find out what movies are on them, I have to open them up and pull out the felt thing to get to the paper underneath. Then, the film cans themselves are cute and all, but the discs are held onto a piece of cardboard. It's just too cumbersome for me. I LOVE the actuall DVD contents though, and I'm REALLY looking forward to the next 3 sets (Oswald, Destino, and Disneyland). I just don't really like the packaging.

As for the legacy series, I like the little reel-shaped tin, but I may wind up repackaging the disks for storage on the shelf.
