No matter how many shares the dead person may have had in any one company, the company CEO can't order the Amercian flag to half-staff. It's not technically illegal for Iger to do that, but it's technically tacky and in very poor taste. For Bob Iger to order this, and to keep them lowered for a full week, is the height of either stupidity and arrogance, or someone mixed up the communication and only the Disney flags were to be lowered for the week. Something tells me this little decree from Burbank won't last another day, and the mistake will be fixed.

However, the Flag Code does not exclude any citizen, whether they belong to an organization or not, whether they are recognized very locally or regionally.
