    I'm old enough to have seen this happen many times over the decades. It never gets all the way back down again. (Except for that short period in '01 that it slipped under $1.)

    True, but not as sweet as the $1.20 or so it *should* be! Ugh. I hate the oil companies. I need a car that runs on ethanol or biodiesel or something.
