Of course as anyone would expect the answers have to be programmed, but it boogles my mind how suger-filled they can be. Harriss seemed a little over-the-top, she gave you nothing with such direct questions. I actually liked Pressler just staing what it was, a needed solution to an entertainment gap. However, how sincere was he when he said, "I never thought it would come back. It was so hard to say goodbye and so emotional. I didn’t think we would have the heart to bring it back ..." I have a hard time imagining that Paul was all welled-up with emotion back in the mid-90's about this parade. Don Dorsey sounded like a great guy! That's great that he is still around Mike

His response - "DD: I’m happy that the people who have enjoyed the parade over the years can see it again..." Sounds like a very careful answer to me. My take - he liked seeing it again, but I'm sure he would much rather have seen a new and unique parade at DCA, instead of one he helped create over 30 years ago. That's just my opinion of course, I don't presume to speak for him, but that's what I got out of that statement.

Even though I wish they'd just go ahead and retire this show for good, I can't wait to hear that music on DCA's super-duper sound system.

With the exception of a few new costumes, it's had the essentially the same lineup for at least 10 of those years. I think it's shameful they didn't even cough up something new for the new park. Even the cheesy trip down Madison Ave got "special floats" for a "special event." New(recycled TDL) music doesn't count.

And Doobie, excellent job, as usual, on covering the event. Plenty of photos and videos! And, yes, I do like the MSEP, or DEP, but SpectroMagic is much higher on my list. The only problem with SpectroMagic is that it's Blue Fairy-less. And I'm sure I would welcome Fantillusion with open arms! Drew )
