Since HM is closed beginning Sept 2 I would guess there will be a sprinkling of orange and black around the parks. I know what you mean about seeing DL decoration free. We were there last year at Halloween time and Christmas time. I love it, it's beautiful but I would like some pictures without pumpkins this year. Our best Photopass picture happened to be the one in front of the big giant Mickey pumpkin on Main St. So that's the one we used for our Christmas card.
