Place on medium heat until butter meted and all bubbling and caramel coloured. Take off heat and stir in oats,fruit and Ginger if using. Pour into baking pan and press flat with wooden spoon. Bake 40 to 45 mins leave to cool in pan for 15 mins cut in to portions then leave in tray until completly cool then lift all out.

Sometimes the doctors don't understand how specific an allergy can get. Her pediatrician sent her to a heart specialist thinking it was a heart condition, but thankfully it was not.
