I always fear that this skews me on liking movies. This smells like a turkey, although like POLAR EXPRESS, it'll have some visual wow factor to it. Not enough to get a lot of people over the fact that the animation looks every bit like those interstitial bits that are produced for Expensive Video Games.

I think the technology behind it all is far more advanced than it was when they did Polar Express. I personally am excited about this movie and can't wait to see it in 3-D which will be amazing. Here's a recent quite from Nancy Baiman, a Disney animator with credits on Hercules, Treasure Planet, and others: "There is no point in imitating live action when you can do so much more in animation. Why settle for reality when you can create entire worlds?" So true.
