I don't think anybody whose seen it (at least from the hub) will ever be able to watch another fireworks show the same way again. They all just pale in comparison. I've also seen the HKDL show, and while it was better than Wishes at WDW IMO, I still don't think it's really on the same level as Remember. I wouldn't be completely against using a similar idea as the HKDL show (music from different older Disney movies that sort of focus on the characters), if it was done with the same spectacle that Remember has. I just think that whatever DLR does from now on, it will have to be amazing, or everybody will complain that it wasn't as good as Remember. (If they had ended Remember with the 50th, then I don't think this problem would be as bad, but since it has been going without the 50th stuff, it starts to seem like part of the normal entertainment. This means that everything after it will have to be at least as good. They kind of did the same thing with Fantasmic! too.)

We saw some fireworks at Sea World last summer, and they lasted 5 minutes. No music, either. After, my kids were like "That's it?" 4th of July is going to suck this year!

There were reflections on the water, thousands of boats with their navigation lights, and launches from two marinas on opposite sides of the lake (one's show started as soon as the other ended). But it was just soooo boring. We're so spoiled!

THe three previous shows were mediocre, and with the 50th celebration and the new technology, they really did out do themselves...and I just really hope that with their newest air-pressure launching technology (It launches the shells with air instead of gun powder meaning Less smoke, less polution, more healthy air) they can really come out with an awsome show. And who knows maybe they'll wait until an anniversary to come up with a new show. 75th anniverary?

(The stream of orbs at the end of Be Our Guest is really amazing.) I also like the projections on the castle walls, similar to Wishes at the Magic Kingdom. Even so, I'd be really disappointed if it outright replaced Remember. Most of my friends have never seen cube- or smiley-face-shaped fireworks before they saw Remember. And all the ground-level fireworks in the Hong Kong show seem boring.

(although we did try playing our own music one time...but it didn't have the same effect. LOL)

Originally Posted By FerretAfros I wouldn't be too surprised if they brought something similar to Light Magic back. When it debuted, nobody was used to the idea of a parade stopping and doing a show. Since then, we've had a bunch of parades that stop, so people might be more open to that idea. Block Party Bash was basically a daytime equivalent of Light Magic (not much while traveling, but a ton during the stops. This makes me think that people might not be entirely opposed to a night time parade with the same general idea. They would just have to get the traffic flow worked out, and figure out when and where to do it, since they will have fireworks, Fantasmic!, and the World of Color show (and maybe DEP) to schedule around too. As for fireworks, if they are making a new show, I hope that they do something that's a little more versatile with weather. The current show gets cancelled entirely or part way through, which leaves a lot of disappointed guests. If they know they are going to have problems with it, maybe they should come up with a high-wind version, or a different (smaller scale) show entirely.

I didn't think about it until lesmisfan's post about Halloween fireworks, but it would be just the right time for it, since they start celebrating it in mid-September now. It would also give them something concrete and marketable to show off for the season, since right now it's basically just orange banners and pumpkins all over the place, along with HMH starting. Fireworks and a parade would definately bring a lot of people into the parks.

But a lot of things can happen between now and September, including management decisions.
