Anyways after about 20 mintues a cast member came out and the lady two rows in front of us called her over and started yelling at the poor girl, "IM PREGNAT I CANT STAY HERE" and the poor CM told her "Mam, I cant let you out until the fire department get here, they are on their way" and the lady kept yelling at her and the poor girl looked like she was going to cry, meanwhile the poor lady behind us started hypervenalting, and needed medical attention, she should have been the first lady off but when the fire department arrived the pregnat lady started freaking out and litterally PUSHED her daughter out of the way to get off the boat first. The poor lady behind us had to wait for this lady to collect all her stuff and litterally run off. My BF turned to the cast member and asked her to take the poor lady off, that was sitting behind us, so that she could get the medical attention she needed. We werent in a hurry. But the pregnant lady was just so rude to the CM when there was nothing she could have done anyways. I felt terrible for her, so when we got off I thanked her for doing her job propperly. I believe she deserved a pay raise she was so poleit and when my BF asked her what was wrong she was very honest by saying she wasnt 100% sure but that her fellow co-workers where working on it. Other than that our trip was fantastic!

I just don't see how yelling at a CM is gonna help matters. It wasn't like she was the one who made the ride break down, geeeeezzzz!!! We have always had wonderful CM's when we go to Disneyland.... I am glad you had a great time other than the stupid lady...

On my last trip on Pirates we had to be subjected to a woman sitting in the rear of our boat who insisted on taking flash pictures throughout the ride. By the time we got to the fortress attack I was ready to throw her overboard. It was so irritating.

It's also possible that the woman was having a panic attack (another not too uncommon response to rides breaking down and a lengthy wait for evacuation). I don't excuse her behavior, but I'm not willing to throw the book at her either.
Originally Posted By Hans Reinhardt "Having once been a pregnant lady I can understand how that boat seat would have gotten VERY uncomfortable." I can only imagine. The thing is, though, WHY go to Disneyland if you're pregnant and uncomfortable? Seems to me that's the last place a person in her condition should be.

Since when do they need the fire dept to evac the ride unless there was an actual fire. If SOP has changed this much since I was there, then no wonder Disney doesn't pay much anymore.

The area where we were was very wet and slippery i think it was just more for the saftey hazard than anything.
Originally Posted By imadisneygal No, my guess is it was a line that the CM was feeding the Guest to make them stay in place. Unless there was a fire, or something wrong where they thought there might be a fire, they do not need DFD to clear anything before evacuating. Usually evacuating the attraction involves getting more CM's to help with all of the exits and that takes time. That said, I do not have any knowledge of this particular incident and there may have been a fire or electrical malfunction or something. Trash can fires are exceedingly common at Disneyland, although since they're usually caused by cigarettes they're usually outside.

For anyone who hasn't had one, they're horrible. My guess is that it was unrelated to her being pregnant, or at least ancillary to it. Obviously this wasn't just someone who wanted to get off first so she could get to the Haunted Mansion before everyone else. My guess is it was either a bladder/bowel thing or a total panic attack. Sheesh.
