We will be staying at the BWPPI and will only have 1 early entry (5 day passport).
What do you think the hours will be those days? I'm not too worried about crowds, just hoping my FP strategy will continue to work? Saturday or Sunday for using my early entry?
I'm getting excited about the new Star Wars! What are the line ups like for The Little Mermaid? I may need to bribe my son into riding that one time with me.
Thanks in advance for helping out.

I suspect there will be a bit more of a line while you're there, but not a really long one, and the biggest delay is some sort of loading / unloading mishap, or the ride breaks down. They've even added modified cars that people in wheelchairs can just roll straight into.

I've never been there during a Cheerleader Comp. Should I be worried?

So I would plan on a Saturday Magic Morn entry thinking most of these competitions will be major on Saturday so their families can attend. That means they will be practicing early Saturday morn and eliminations will send more crowds to DL late Sat and Sunday.
I also would grab a FP to ST ( don't forget the FP machines are over by BUZZ since they were moved to allow for a bigger FP ST Q)! If you can I would have my son go over to stand in the PP line and wait for you. Many families do this and just wait by the chain and keep telling others to go ahead.

Also please plan to arrive early enough to get full use of your early entry. It drives me crazy to see clueless people arriving and it is almost time for the rope drop!!! Usually the magic morn guests are told to enter in a roped off line to the left of MainStreet as you walk past the Candy Shoppe the closer it gets to ropedrop time. Hope that makes sense and has not been changed.

Also be sure to ask if FP machines are open during the early morn hours. It seems like they are sometimes open and sometimes not unless I am confusing DL and WDW. Also I seem to recall the return window is sometimes "generous" and will allow a better window for more FP's. (Again I am not certain if this has been experienced at WDW or DL). When it comes to Disney I have learned not to assume anything is the same as my last trip! Really not looking forward to the FP/Next Gen changes going into affect at WDW next March!

    Good luck.

I would do Fantasyland first since those rides don't have fastpasses. The tomorrowland rides do.
If Matterhorn is open, ride that during Early Entry too.
