It is a great ride! It shows our kids what life was like back in the day, but it shows (more importantly) why things change. It shows how imagination and drive can lead to life changing innovations that make life easier to live.

It was Walt's desire not to have this ever removed from his park. If Disney does indeed get rid of this attraction, they are doing Walt's memory a disservice...especially if there IS a way to keep it AND get a new attraction.

Taht being said, what kind of ride will the Incredibles be? Why would it be in Tomorrowland? In the movie it doesnt' take place in the future. In fact, I gathered that it took place in the not too distant past. Was I wrong?

Sorry Kane, but I can't tell you anything about Carousel of Progress : )not sure how well it works via message board, but what the heck!

    What about spelling?

<<In a public forum where no one knows anyone here ...>>

The Spirit knows plenty of the personalities here in the LaughingPlace ... and has plenty of admirers who read and lurk silently.

<<we shouldn't be worried about being embarrassed by anything.>>

I'm often embarrassed by some of the behavior of other 'Disney fans' ... does that count?

Sorry, gaston, but I've never seen any evidence to indicate that this is true. Walt was always changing and plussing, trying new things in place of older stuff. As much as he loved this show, I think he would have redone it several times over by now, still keeping the basic carousel theme and mechanics while continuing to innovate and entertain with new scenes.

I"ve heard that several times, but honestly, I can't remember where.

No. I have big X painted on my back for Disney execs to shoot at!

Unfortunately, they have very poor aim ... and I have far more ammunition!
