Looks like you have already read things link TripAdvisor, in which HoJo's almost always gets high reviews.

If you can get a good rate, I would go with HoJo's.

Nope, no one here has stayed there... EVER! :p

HoJo's has been a popular place to stay since, oh, probably when it was built. It was my parents choice when they took us kids way back in the 60's, and early 70's, but I haven't put one toe in the place since then. Not because it isn't good, but my folks moved to southern California years ago, and there aren't many reasons for me to need a hotel near Disneyland.

Okay... I am sure you want answers, not my drivel. I can't help you. :)~

Not far enough to justify ART, but felt a lot farther at night than in the morning. Also, Mimi's is right across the street, really yummy. Enjoy!

The rooms were spacious, clean and pleasant. Of the "walk to the park hotels" it is definitely the farthest one, but not too far. Parking was a little tight, but no suprise as HoJo's was full those days. One night we went out for a late dinner and we had to park in the "spillover" lot behind Mimi's.

Nice grounds, nice pool area. if you want to save money, go for the double bed rooms in Buildings 3, 4, 5, or 6 - you don't need to spring for the premium rooms. You can see the fireworks from the pool area, if you're not at the park.

The staff there are AWESOME! Esp. Willie Simpson, who reserved a park view room for me!

So basically, when you walk to the park entrance, it's the equivilent to starting at rhe Matterhorn and walking to the front of the park.

I had no problems with the walk at all.

Technically they are across the street. But, Disneyland is big, so the streets that border it are long! LOL They might be across from the park, but not across from the enterance.

Best Western Park place is across from the enterance.

Candy cane is on the same side of the street as the park. About the same distance (opposite direction) as Hojo's. But, they have their own shuttle. We'll be staying there in May.

This will be our first choice if we can't stay at the Grand Californian in the future.

We didn't mind the 7-minute walk at all. (Well, a little bit after we rode Grizzly River Run 5 times in a row at night, and walked back soaking wet....)
