After Thanksgiving Through The Week Before Christmas

    Average Attendence
Late February Through the Week Before Easter
Sundays except for Summer and Holiday Weekends
After Memorial Day Till Schools are out for Summer
    After Columbus Day through Thanksgiving

    Peak Season - Most Crowded
    Saturdays
    3 day Holiday Weeks
    Week Before and After Easter
Summer (Schools are out) through Labor Day
    Thanksgiving Weekend
Week Before Christmas through New Years

Disney expects to be slow on the following days for 2009:
    January 4th – February 19th
    - The crowds will be higher the weekend of the 19th to the 22nd of February because of Presidents day.
    February 22nd – March 12th
    - On March 13th Spring Breaks begin and Disney expects to be busy through April 25th.

    April 26th – May 29th
    - May 30th begins the summer holiday. Traditionally the first few weeks of June starting after Memorial Day are slower than the rest of the summer.

    August 30th – October 2nd
    - With the advent of Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort, October is now a busy period.
    November 1st – November 19th
    - The Saturday before Thanksgiving is the beginning of the Holiday shows at the Disneyland Resort, this will keep crowds up until the next week.

    December 1st – December 17th
    - December 17th is when the crowds really pick up and get heavier as the days go by until January 1st.

(this is based on 2009, but many say that Annual Passholders have gone up in numbers so Saturdays that are blocked are less busy than they used to be.)

I have a picture of Frontierland about 11:00 in the morning on Wednesday and the walkways are completely clear. It was an amazing trip.

    I digress.

We have been in April (busy), June (very busy), September (hot and busy), October (kind of busy, but this was before the Halloween stuff), and November before Thanksgiving (not very busy), and the great trip the week after Thanksgiving but still in November (the best trip for crowds).

Interesting the dynamic the SoCal AP plays. About 15 years ago my brother came to visit us with his family on Thanksgiving (We lived in San Diego at the time).

We went to DL on Thanksgiving Day.

That had to be the most crowded day I ever spent at DL. By far.

But I could see how now the locals would stay away if their cheapo APs are blocked. So now we need to plan our trips around SoCal AP blackouts!
