And this would be the PERFECT time to announce the green light for Imagination's proposed rehab, for Epcot's 25th anniversary next year!

His Figment sculpt from last year was spot on. And from the photo at the Special Events site, this latest sculpt will be the perfect complement to the first one. Unfortunately, registering for the event is the only sure-fire way to guarantee acquiring one, without paying through the nose on eBay later on. Does Disney benefit from that? Yes, they do. That's why they do the special merch events. But Bruce Lau also benefits. And when he produces great sculpts such as these, I don't mind some of my $$$ going Disney's way. Whatever keeps Bruce working in his craft! "Disney only sees things through $ now, they no longer have the talent to judge popular appeal through any other metric." Oh yeah... tell that to John Lasseter. Go ahead. I dare ya! 8^D

It would be nice to see some of the original Epcot "spark" return to Future World. It would be nice to see some great storytelling return. The new incarnation of The Seas may be headed in the right direction for story and effects but it really is a deviation from the original concept of Future World and the theme of The Living Seas.

This is Disney, after all. They could change their minds at the very last minute. But at least the project is being worked on. And there is a strong desire to get this off the ground. So... I believe that it will happen. But I'm not the person making the final call.

Time for another road trip to my favorite cherry stand.) Anyway... Sof74 deftly throws the spotlight on a major issue regarding past management in P&R. Here's hoping that future management pays close attention to the talent pool in Emeryville, and incorporates both their originality and the lessons learned from the Legends, and utilizes this creative wisdom to get it right THE FIRST TIME! And to stop making boneheaded decisions to lessen attraction quality and repeatability simply because of some bean counter's myopic spreadsheet or some middle manager's overly zealous ambitions to promote on the glory of a project completed under budget.

All I ask for is stop the marketing tie-ins give us good old school style rides, but updated to todays technologies and what not. I just like rides with a story or theme.

Unfortunately, the rest of the ride wasn't all that great. And if you visit some of the sites that have a ride-through, you'll see that it gets a bit tedious. My memory of the ride is better than the actual ride. Kinda like 'America Sings.'
