The tropical vibe might fit in Adventureland, or they could follow WDW's lead and put it in Tomorrowland. It also seems like an interesting choice, since that film isn't particularly popular in the US these days, but I guess it's a different audience

Originally Posted By Malin *** While it does sound promising, the "billions" being invested are in Yen, not dollars; looks like it will be "tens of millions" in dollars, which is not insignificant, but not nearly as impressive *** Tower of Terror alone was reported to cost 21 billion yen. The money that's being invested here even if it is in yen is an insane amount of money over 10 years. It's not tens of millions of dollars. But it will be wishful thinking to expect it all to go on new attractions. Wouldn't be surprised to see more hotel rooms added especially with OLC wanting to expand business from overseas which is mentioned in the report. The Stitch attraction is similar to Hong Kong's version and is replacing Captain EO in Tomorrowland. Steve Davison is in Tokyo now working on the video mapping for Once Upon A Time which opens next month. The news of improving the viewing area along the Med Harbour is rather news worthy. Sounds like this might be part of the reason for the retirement of Mythica. But at the same time it signals that the OLC are looking to improve the area for entertainment viewing. This signals for me a long-term desire to continue using the Harbour area for both seasonal and permanent entertainment in the future.

That's an absurd amount of money for a new ride, especially one that is basically a clone of an existing one.

Some of the specifics mentioned are: * 2 Billion Yen ($19.5 Million) in "Once Upon A Time" (new nighttime entertainment) * 1.6 Billion Yen ($15.7 Million) in "Jungle Cruise: Wildlife Expedition" (new effects and music) * 2.5 Billion Yen ($24.5 Million) in Mediterranean Harbor improvements * 4 Billion Yen ($39 Million) in "Renewal of Mermaid Lagoon Theater" * 2 Billion Yen ($19.5 Million) in "New Lilo & Stitch attraction" (sounds like it based on Turtle Talk model) The above sounds like some relatively modest improvements but the overall price tag indicates there are some big things in the works.
