I'm actually not too impressed with them, they look a lot like other gowns out there now. They really don't seem all that special...

I hope you agree Sarah was gorgeous! Her dress made me go WOW when I saw her, and it didn't take long for my eyes to well up at all.

I suppose when I heard Disney had launched a wedding dress line, I was expecting some like Sarah's.

Maybe I'll send it to our DD. Since she was a little girl we've teased her that she HAS to get married at the Disneyland Hotel so I can plan a Disney themed wedding :D Since the mother of the bride doesn't get to ride in the carriage, I always say that I'm going to dress as the Fairy Godmother and flit around beside the carriage :) She doesn't even bother to roll her eyes anymore :)

I have to agree, i was expecting something a little more...princess-e.
maybe even a n actual recreation (in white of course) of each characters dress. These just seem to be run of the mill wedding dresses. Gorgeous dresses, but still something that looks like everything else, that's sure to be overpriced since it carries the disney name.

Of the more bridal looking gowns I like number 2 Cindy and Sleeping Beauty gowns.

BTW, the one that I liked the best if the same one that both Ursual and LVBelle liked.

Especially the Belle dress, that is a popular style right now...even saw it in red!

    You're welcome!

Like a lot of you, I think that Belle dress that LVBelle and Ursula picked is beautiful.

I would really be interested to hear what a "Disney-ish" wedding dress would look like to you guys. I find myself agreeing with you in a way but I can't really put my finger on why. Maybe AuroraRose has it right - that we are all expecting character dress recreations? Or do you think that it's because most wedding dresses are designed to be "princess-ish" in the first place anyway so Disney just doesn't stand out?

    and this (which I liked):

<<My husband and I got married at DisneyWorld 2 years ago. We had a Cinderella Wedding. I wore Cinderellas wedding dress, glass slippers and crown, and my husband wore Prince charmings wedding attire. It was just like in the movie! Cinderella herself even sent a wedding gift to our suite. It was the most magical time of my life! We are going back this year to celebrate our anniversary. Disney knows how to make you feel special! >>

and this response (which I did not like):

<<...I wonder if she has a framed wedding photo in her living room? I would give my eye-teeth to be a fly on the wall when hubby's poker buddies come over to the house ...... or Super Bowl Sunday LOL! My guess is that the photo slips quietly into a drawer.>>
