    Thank you for that! You could even go back further and say that it all started with the Alice comedies. I've always disliked the "all started with a mouse" line - it's a cute line, but it's revisionist history.

    They date MM's birth from his first public showing: 11/18/28 in Steamboat Willie (even though Plane Crazy was animated first.)

    I think it would be better to say MM "premiered" on 11/18/28 not born.
